UT Tyler is planning a nursing appreciation event called 24 Hours of Thanks. We will be set up on site at several local hospitals for 24 hours to hand out goodie bags to show our appreciation for the continuous hard work of our East Texas nurses from 10am on Wednesday, September 16 through 10am on Thursday, September 17. We need your help to make this event a success! 2 volunteers will be needed for each 2 hour shifts to help staff our event tents and hand out the goodie bags. Please note that there are several tent locations, all located in Tyler, and you will be notified of the location once you sign up.

Requirement Details
Wondering if you should register to volunteer? Based on the CDC guidelines, we are asking you the following questions:
- Have you been exposed to someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19? See the CDC’s risk assessment guidance.
- Do you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19? Symptoms can include a cough or shortness of breath or at least two of the following: Fever, Chills, Repeated shaking with chills, Muscle pain, Headache, Sore throat, New loss of taste or smell. See the CDC’s symptom information.
